Our Team Members:

Birgit McGinnis: Birgit McGinnis has been in the Salon and Spa Industry for more than 16 years. She is currently trained as an Aesthetician, Massage Therapist, Reflexologist and Nail Technician. Birgit’s education, skills and knowledge are based on the health related aspects of the skin and body. She has many years of experience and education in a variety of areas within the skin and body care industry.

The Janssen Cosmecutical Product Line is what she uses and offers in House of Beauty Salon and Spa. She has been extensively trained in Aachen, Germany under Janssen Cosmecutical and believes in educating her clients in the ingredients and benefits of this product.

Birgit truly believes in keeping things simple, dispelling myths and clearing up misunderstandings about how to take care of your skin to keep it healthy and looking younger, longer.

With working in both large and small salon and spa environments, she has discovered that the small, personal and private environment is the best way to provide services where you can escape life’s pressures and immerse yourself in an array of treatments designed to awaken your senses and soothe your soul.

As a resident of Cumming, Georgia with her husband, daughter and two small dogs; Birgit is very enthusiastic to open House of Beauty Salon and Spa. She has previously owned and operated a very successful salon and spa for 5 years, in the Dallas Texas area, before moving to Cumming. Birgit is artistic, creative and very talented with a hammer, a nail and a piece of wood. As a leader, Birgit has a unique passion to be the best she can be and enhance people’s lives.

Gregg Ward: We are very excited about our newest team member that has just recently joined us. His name is Gregg Ward and is the founder of www.kiantemple.com. He's studied Chi Kung and the martial arts for over 20 years, practicing as a nationally certified massage therapist since 1996, specializing in body energy dynamics. He brings to you his study at the Xi Yuan hospital of traditional Chinese medicine in China - an "East meets West" form of preventive self-care science.

Gregg's approach to healing is to help you find the Mental/Emotional Root-Cause of disease and disorders. Learn how your thoughts are creating emotions that set up physical manifestations in your body, and most importantly, how to get rid of what you don't want.

Gregg would like to invite everyone to House of Beauty Salon and Spa one evening for a small seminar on exactly how he can enrich all of our lives through massage and body energy dynamics. Rachel Feltrop: Rachel Feltrop is a Master Cosmetologist. She graduated from Cobb Beauty College in Kennesaw, GA. She has been licensed for 6 years. One of her greatest passions is doing formal styling. She is very creative and talented.

Rachel studied under a National Platform Artist and Certified Hair colorist for Redken, training with a Pureology educator, had extensive training with Matrix Color and hair care products, and also advanced training with Aquage Educators for Haircutting and Formal Styling. Rachel is always eager to learn new trends and techniques of haircutting and coloring.

She was published in The Atlanta Journal and Constitution for a Prom expose in March 2008. In July 2008 she provided her styling ability on a photo shoot for The National Prom Association and Legends Formal Wear. The catalog will be available in January 2009.

Rachel currently resides in Roswell, GA where she lives with her family and 2 dogs. She moved to Georgia 10 years ago from Southern Illinois. She enjoys spending time at Jittery Joes Coffee where she also has found a new passion for coffee.
